Tues, 1st Florence

This has a ball or globe in middle.
These I think we're the land survey instruments. The picture below that is of a clock guts, with stones for weights.

Started the day out at the Galelio Museum at its opening at 9:30. Lots of inventions, but needed a internet to know what some of them do. They translated the inventions name, but not always what it did. A few TV screens in English and Italian described certain ones. Very interesting. Afterwards we dropped back by our apartment, had lunch and left everything behind so it would be easier to go through the next museums security. I had gotten tickets online, so I just present he email confirmation and after waiting in line for 10 minutes, got tickets to two museums. Then we stood in a second line for 10 minutes more and entered the museum. Major Art museum, but unfortunately the Leonardo da Vinci painting was being restored. Oh, well saw lots of paintings. Some of which the robes looked like you could reach out an touch them. Beautiful folds, and colors. Lots of religious works of course. After that we walked over to locate the museum Acadamia, where the statue of David resides. We had a 4:00 entrance time, but they let us in early.
Back to the apartment to rest, and noticed a rash on my left ankle. One red blotchy circle and red spots underneath. Hopeful, a heat rash.
Oh, had fun this morning. We were early going to the museum, and there was a barber open. Jerry has been fussing this week he needs a hair cut. What fun it was, the guy was a real artist with his scissors. No clippers around. Used a knife rassor on his neck hairs. Was fun to watch. Cost $18 E.
