Another early tour, left ship at 7:30. Took a tour bus directly to the Acropolis. Hardly anyone there, lots cooler. By the time we were headed down there were back to back tourists. Walked from there to the new museum. Lots of old statues. Starting to get tired of them. The glass floor panels that showed what they uncovered when they built the museum, that was interesting. You could see rock walls, circles, etc. More about those would have been interesting.
Stopped to get love from four dogs, same breed as our Molly. Did not work, thought I was going to cry. Miss that dog!
We were then feed a good lunch at a restaurant, and given time to shop. There were short Greek grandmas, everyone in long dark dresses trying to sell tourists table runners and table clothes. All over the place. Then there were the shifty, I can sell you an I phone 6 for. Next to nothing! A watch real cheap.
As we walked by a fur coat store the sales lady half hardly says "which coat do you like the best?"
I reply "The one my brother bought me that is hanging in my closet at home." She looks up at me and says "I don't know what to say to that. No one has ever said that!" I just laughed and continued on. Later we were chatting with someone from Mexico, from our ship. She is a doctor, when I relayed the conversation to her, she said the sales ladies are given standard lines and come backs. I threw her off her script I guess! Anyway it was funny.
