The island of Saonitori looks like someone pit snow on the top of the cliffs. It is what is left of a volcano that exploded and left part of the ring. The inside is the steep cliffs, while the backside of the volcano still slopes gently toward the sea with some farm land. We did not have a tour booked for this island, so we immediately found a tour company offering sea trips to the other end off the island, with bus trip back. The small city of Oia?) is supposed to be the most scenic. Shuttle bus took us up the cliff and dropped us off. Lots of white washed houses, and some blue topped churches. Took bus back to Fira. Pretty drive, then took a cable car down to the sea level. Had gyros for lunch at a restaurant at the port.
