Day 5, and we are docked at a Turkish port. Today we are up early at 6:15 again for an early tour of the ancient city of Ephesus. Two other ruins prior to it. We drove past ruins that used to sit on the ocean before Christ was born. The river delta silted in and there is now farm ground where there was water. After the first two ruins, we had a traditional Turkish lunch. Then saw the road where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra came down on the ancient roman city of Ephesus. Very hot at the sight in the afternoon sun. The forecast was 88' and it was every bit of that. They gave us twenty minutes to shop and go to the bathroom, and drink a orange drink. We were the last ones on the bus, almost missed it. Jerry got into negotiation for two shirts, need I say more? Last stop was a rug demonstration, we just walked back to the ship. Ship left port at 4:30. Really short stops in ports.
