Thrus, 27th Venice

Cannot believe we are here. Figured out right away to stay away from the main square. Lots of Cruise Tourists. Today we had breakfast at our hotel and headed right to the square . We bought tickets for Doge Palace. It was quite large, part of which is still used. The ceilings had frames on them with paints inset. Like there were paintings hanging  all over. The paintings were very complex and well done. Part of the building was a prison. After viewing the palace we went next door to the church and stood in line for about 15minutes to get inside. We paid nothing to get inside but the museum which was the aces to the balcony, and upstairs was 5 e each. After that there ere getting to be too many people so we headed out to the lagoon islands. Only actually stopped at the famous glass blowing one. Figured we had to see that for one son in law.
